This District’s boundaries begin at Pine Avenue and continues east to the city limits.

East District is also assigned a Criminal Investigative Unit which investigates all property crimes and white-collar crimes that occur within the District.

The majority of this District is residential with numerous businesses and retail food establishments along its main thoroughfares. Major landmarks include:

• City Hall
• Marion County Courthouse
• Downtown Square
• Marion County Public Library
• Tuscawilla Park
• Munroe Regional Medical Center
• Ocala Regional Medical Center
• Veteran’s Memorial Park, site of numerous celebrations honoring veterans

The East District has an extensive residential area with a wide variety of neighborhoods that present different challenges. The Bureau is constantly examining policing methods to ensure the best is being done to serve the community. The community is welcome to reach out and communicate any issues they may be having or let us know how we are doing.

This District’s boundaries begin at Pine Avenue and continue to the West City limits.

West District is also assigned a Criminal Investigation Unit, which investigates all property crimes and white-collar crimes that occur within the District.

This District consists of numerous businesses along the SR 200, SR 40, and US Highway 27 corridors. Most of the businesses are retail/food establishments, with well-known hotels and motels nestled in along the I-75 interchange area. Major landmarks include:

• Heathbrook
• Interstate 75
• College of Central Florida
• Paddock Mall
• West Marion Hospital

West District is conducting an operation called “Safe Neighborhood” where officers and residents work together to improve quality of life issues in the Poinciana Heights neighborhood.
